Amazing! Season 3 already confirmed. Right before we even start, there will be spoilers below so if you are yet to finish, watch or are avoiding spoilers please stop! Right here..

Okay, so where to start. At the end of season one we saw the tragic apparent death of Guinevere Beck, Joe Goldbergs love interest for the season. We also saw the shock return of the assumed dead/ travelling Europe ex girlfriend Candace.
Well season two kicks off right where we left Joe standing stunned in Mooney’s bookshop. His face says it all he cant believe it. Then all of a sudden were in L.A. The first episode i found paced nicely skipping between then and now to show how Joe made it to Los Angeles and ditched the now alive Candace who is nowmaking it her mission to destroy Joe.
Los Angeles Joe describes, is his least favourite place on the planet. Yet here he is and despite having to look over his shoulder, hes made some changes. Say hello Will Bettlehiem, Joe’s new alias. We later find out Will Bettlehiem is not only a real person that Joe has come into contact with. He is also the person in Joe’s latest glassbox jail. Old habits die hard. The infamous glass box is now inside a soundproof storage locker facility where Joe is now using it to store certain items to avoid another Beck incident.
Joe goes about saying he is now a changed person, avoiding his urges and the rest of it. The Beck and Candace stuff seems to be irking him more than he thought until…Love.
Love, not the emotion but a person named Love catches his eye. “Hello YOU…” The iconic line seeps out and before he knows it Joe is back head over heels for a new woman. Goodbye Beck!
Now Love who is played by the brilliantly beautiful Victoria Pedretti (Haunting of Hill House/ Once upon a time in Hollywood) is just amazing.

So Love, turns out to be the manager of the kitchen at Joe’s new workplace. Coincidence? What do you think? Hes a changed man and is resisting the urge-. He fails. Love has him and Joe resumes his old ways just now as Will. Love brings Joe into her life, meets her family and all looks to be going well. Until, Forty (James Scully) another brilliant character in his own right brings home a new girlfriend to his and Love’s parents anniversary celebration. Guess who? Yep! Candace.

Now for me, this scene is one of this seasons highlights. Joe now comfortable as the fun and friendly Will Bettlehiem watches as Forty’s new girlfriend appears and his face behind the mask he struggles to keep is just brillaint. Candace now posing as Amy plays the act of Forty’s girlfriend perfectly. Why? To protect Love and her family from Joe. Now this for those of you who have seen the season know it doesnt play out that way. Candace gets caught out by Love who sees through the false profile and hires a private investigator to protect her families assets. She confronts Candace whom comes clean and spills all about her perfect man Will being actually Joe a killer with a love complex for the theatrics. She tells Love how she was buried alive by Joe and begs that she be believed.
Joe unaware returns, is forced to come clean and finds Love has sent Candace away with money and threats that her family can bestow. So perfect right? Wriong Love cant trust Will now Joe. Confused? Joe is now free to be Joe Goldberg once more but.. without Love.
The following few episodes see Joe adjust to life without Love as his girlfriend and become closer with two other characters new to season 2. Delilah and Ellie (Carmela Zumbado and Jenna Ortega) are both amazing personalities in this season. Delilah, Ellie’s sister runs the apartment complex that Joe rents into at the beginning of the season. Joe or Will to them gets tangled up in a series of events alongside the Love story with Love where he helps take down a celebrity who Delilah was raped by years before and the ssame celebrity is now looking to do to a very charasmatic Ellie. Not on Joe’s watch.
Through events and a lot of sneaking, breaking and entering and drugs Joe gets the better of the celebrity but in a typical Joe way he lets his emotions run wild and a struggle ensues resulting in the celebrities death.
Fastforwarding to the point where Joe is without Love, he becames close with Delilah which looks like the start of yet another relationship. An honest one.

Events transpire that occur from decisions made earlier in the season from the celebrities murder, the lies to Love and Forty. Delilah goes snooping into Joe’s apartment and finds his storage locker keys. She then arrives at said destination to find the box and several items that place Joe at the clebrities murder and the like. Joe finds Delilah in his storage unit and yep locks her in the box.
Now hes in a pickle as he likes Delilah. Not as much as Love but he doesnt want to hurt her or her sister Ellie. He needs to think. He needs to flee.
The final episodes of this season are the best the series has offered thus far. They are filled with so many plot twists and revelations that ive had to watch this season a few times just to get my head round bits or to go back and be like ‘ oh yeah they did’. Anyway.
Joe finds Delilah dead after a brillaint episode involving Forty relapsing and Joe getting dragged into it, being drugged all the while the timer is ticking. When she was alive Joe put delilah in timed cuffs. These cuffs would give him sufficient time to escape L.A and not be caught by the authorities that Delilah will be sure to call upon her release. However it doesnt come to be because shes dead. But by whom? Joe is shocked and lost as no one else knows about this place.
Shooting forward because I dont want to give everything away in this review/ sypnosis of this crammed season but the biggest twist in all of this is Love. Love is a dark horse and really is the ying to Joe’s yang. She is dangerous. At first i thought shell kill Joe and thatll be it for this amazing series but no. Its revealed she killed Delilah.. This for me was one of the biggest shocks this season as Delilah was a cool character and from what I have read/seen online a fan favourite.
So how did Love do it well right up until the last moment we thought a drugged Joe did it. After the bender he ends up on with Forty. Joe retraces his steps and ends up at the storage facility to find a bloodied Delilah an before he can leave he is confronted and locked in by Candace. Love then ends up on the scene before slashing the neck of Candace and causing the revelation of the month to Joe revealing she really is just like him. Breathe…
The season ends with alot of the main cast dead or moving away which is no shocker after everything that went down. Shoutout to Forty whom despite everyone putting him down and labelling him as a drugged up idiot is the only person without being told by Joe himself to figure out the entire Joe Goldberg saga. Everything from Candace to Beck. The framing of Beck and Joes therapist and all the events to the present including the murder of the celebrity. Amazing. Will he live to tell the tale, no. he unfortunately winds up with a bullet in him from a Police Officer friend of Delilahs in the finale.
The season ends with a time skip a few months on with Joe and Love moving into their new home. Love is now heavily pregnant…You do find out earlier but I really am trying to not give all spoilers away for those who are reading to see if the show is worth their time.
Anyway the final episode ends with Joe in his back garden being drawn to the fence peering through to see a woman reading a book. “Hello You!” Credits.
Brilliant end to the Season and already season 3 is confirmed which begs the question “Who is the woman Joe sees at the end?” Will Joe and Love be good parents. Is their relationship stable now both of thier lives are wide open to one another? Will this new woman come between them? Is it someone Joe already knows? Are there more revelations to come out like did Love kill her husband when he was terminally ill? Will Joe’s past catch up with him? What will he do with Ellie, which i didnt mention but in short Joe sends her money to keep quiet.
In summary Season 2 of ‘YOU’ is everything and more to the first season and is one of the best programmes I have watched for a long while. Season 3 needs to hurry up!
